Caleb's
Everyone who is adopting from Ethiopia names their child Caleb!! REALLY its so crazy!!!! At first we were like “oh wow look another Caleb” then 3 then 4 and this is just with our agency. WTF?!?!
So she started to look at other agencies and blogs. Sure enough Caleb’s everywhere. Sari and I were like is this a joke?
We started talking about changing his name :-( I already feel like he is Caleb. Can’t change a name of a child after ya know?!?
BUT
If we stay a part of the Ethiopian adoption community we would not want him to share a name with everyone else.
What would you do?? Stick with the name. if we stop looking at the internet we would know no different right??
I want to stay with Caleb but i don’t want to call his name a 10 children respond :-(

I vote for Mason. That is my 12 year olds name, and it is still pretty uncommon. It's not a name you hear everyday. Plus He is the sweetest, most good natured child I have. It can't hurt!!!
I vote
#2. Harrison
Because A.George Harrison B.Harry potter 3.Harrison Ford
-C
I vote Julian or Noah :)
-S
Hey S one or the other LOL
I vote either keep Caleb, or switch to Kaden, because it sounds/feels most like Caleb, without being the same.
Kaden - Big time power with a name that starts with "K"
Harrison would be my #2
Caleb is a great name but it will be odd if he and 10 others share it.
I like Harrison, Julian, and Noah.
I voted to keep Caleb! You guys identify with the name so much, it shouldn't really matter who else names their child Caleb. :)
Mason!! I love that name.
Second choice would be Harrison.
#2 Harrison. I love that name!
I say stick with Caleb. Unless you absolutely feel like you need to change it, then I'm partial to Julian.
I would vote to stay with Caleb unless it's like Chelle says that you really feel like you have to change it. With a name like Michell common when I was in school there were always lots of Michelles but it wasn't horrible. Plus, if you are really attached to that name it seems it would be hard to give it up. I know my girl name is starting to get pretty common but I'm totally attached to it so won't change it. Good luck whatever you decide.
Michell
I say stick with Caleb... heck I already know him as Caleb so I know you guys must!
I vote stay with Caleb....only 1 will be yours and believe me he will know when you want him & only him....LOL. Hey, can you vote twice? LOL.
OK,,,seriously....I also LOVE Kaden because that is my "boy" name too.:)*****S & C - off topic but I MUST share.....thanks for getting me HOOKED on the Africam....I look at it all the time! It is incredible...wow I have seen some Fabulous sights.**
Have fun in Sunny Florida....that is where I am & in my neck of the woods it has been 90+ & humid everyday! My neighbor has been watersking on the lake that surrounds us for the last 2 days! Merry, Merry Christmas Ladies!
Can you name him Caleb, but come up with a cool nickname? So you won't have to yell Caleb and sort out which is yours?
Besides, then you'd have to change the name of your blog . . . .
If you do change, I love the names Conner and Harrison.
I'd stay with Caleb - the other people on your agency web board don't live in the same neighborhood do they? I'd assume they're across the country - in which case they won't hear you when you call his name.
If that's the name you've picked, you don't have to change just because other people are copying you ;)
Mason is awesome-knew one that was super-cool; have you considered Cade instead of Kade?; Noah is what I would use myself if Stephen would let me; Harrison is really neat and we could paint a little lightning bolt on his head at Halloween (joke); but after all that I vote to stay with Caleb...he IS Caleb, even if he isn't born yet. I agree with the gal that said you could nickname (and prolly will anyway). Sar...Julian? Skreal? :-)
I kinda agree about now wanting him to have the same name as a hundred other kids. But if you like it and when you meet him, he looks and feels like a "Caleb" then you should stick to it. As an alternative I really like "Cade" and its really close to "Caleb". Good luck deciding. This is hard.
Stay with Caleb unless when you finally see his picture another name screams out at you.
I vote for Caleb, unless it doesn't feel right when you meet him. It's a nice name.
Speaking as a Jennifer, having the same first name as another person isn't the end of the world.
